Help
Friends of Van Cortlandt Park with its final seasonal harvest of the park’s urban garden and learn how to prepare the garden and composting site for the
winter.

Sneakers or closed shoes required; long pants highly recommended.  Volunteers must bring their own water and snacks.  


20 volunteer slots are available.  Three hours service credit will be given.

Computer Literacy:

Be a Computer Coach and help 6th graders excel in school!
ComputersforYouth distributes revamped computers, loaded with educational software, to 6th graders in underresourced schools. Students then attend training sessions with their families before taking their computers home.  StudentsforServicevolunteers will be given on-site coaching on how to use the software and then work alongside the families to assist in the training process. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers.Volunteers must be 15 or older!Five and one-half hours of service credit will be given at each session below:

Hunger and Poverty:
Help alleviate hunger for thousands of New Yorkers!
Saturday November 5th.  1-4pm.  8 E. 109th St., New York

Every year,Yorkville Common Pantry distributes food to thousands of our neighbors who would otherwise go hungry.   Volunteers are needed to help assemble and distribute grocery packages for kids and families.

15 volunteer slots are available.  Three hours service credit will be given.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, October 26th.

Make the holidays happy for children in need!

Lend a hand sorting and packing holiday toys for needy kids throughout the city with the
Yorkville Common Pantry
